Mange and Severe Pododermatitis
After following Rhett's early plight and the care that it took for him to come as far as he did and then the stone. You made him a happy, loved piglet. Goodbye little man. Mum hit it on the head. These little furballs are so loveable and when you spend so many hours with a sick one the attachment grows tremendously. I felt like such a failure after Rodney passed but we give them what we can with the knowledge that we have. You did a fantastic job.

- I GAVE, dammit!
I'm so sorry about Rhett. I do hope Ciel will be ok. My heart goes out to you.
I'm very sorry :(
I read the whole thread just 2 days ago and was hoping that he'd get better.
Thank you and everyone else who helped him.

Partial pathology report back on the mass: liposarcoma, or a malignant fatty tumor. Fatty tumors are not always benign! That makes a lot of sense since the tumor was very friable. Kinda buttery in texture and started to fall apart just with the DVM probing around in there.
We have to call for a consult tomorrow. There are some problems with the rest of the urinary tract report that we have to sort out with an exotics' specialist. The didn't find any stones, though. Not obvious ones and no obvious urinary tract tumors :( Nothing to explain the amount of frank blood and clots he was passing.

Forgive my ignorance, but was does "friable" mean?
Pixie had one (malignant) mammary tumor and one (benign)fatty tumor removed about 3 - 4 months ago. Even before the sutures were removed, another lump appeared where the fatty tumor had been removed from. The vet removing the sutures did 2 needle aspirates (from different angles) and said that they did not contain anything suspicious. The lump was also measured at that time.
I had another needle aspirate done last week - same results. No change in size either, and it's still able to be moved around.
Now I'm wondering if I should have it removed (again).
If she were your pig, what would you do?
