Lucky kids, to be around animals and get to interact like that. As a kid I had so many different animals, and then brought even more home when I worked my first job in a pet shop cleaning rodent cages. Here I am decades later, still scooping poop. Some things never change.

Pets are each so unique! From the individual to the species. I think we learn things about ourselves, too, when we share our lives with animals.

Happy 2nd birthday to my baby boys Kahlua and Jack! They have grown into quite the pair of distinguished gentleman guinea pigs. They're getting along famously together. Healthy, happy and enjoying life with us. They're getting fresh carrot greens right from the garden. They really love that. Next to Dean, They are the easiest to take care of. Many more birthdays to you baby boys!

Check out Kahlua and Jack. They're coming up on their 3rd birthday in a month or two. They are getting along great together. Jack is such a big boy. He's just over 3 lbs! Kahlua is a little lighter at just under 3 lbs. I wish my brother and I had gotten along as well as they do growing up LoL
