A Guinea Pig in Need, is a Good Pet Indeed or, Why Adopt?
We got Stella in 2005? Time has flown and seasons passed. Stella is quite old now and showing it. She is thin, and injured her back last summer. Since then she is no longer allowed upstairs as I suspect it was the cause of injury. The hayrack is now the ground.
Her attitude is fairly good. She occasionally suffers from her past back injury, but has always felt better in a day or so.
She is going to be the partial ending of keeping these wonderful cheeky pets. Lil Bit continues to be her hairstylist and snack tester. I have a heavy heart.
Soon Lil Bits will be an only pig I'm afraid.

On the other hand you need to be careful about who adopts you own guinea pigs. I had two guinea pigs thinking they were of the same sexe.and ended up with 2 beautiful healthy cubs. But they were a handful, so i wanted to give them a good home .my best friend said her cousin was lovely and can take care of them. I sent jumper to her thinking he would have a good home. We named him jumper bcz since he was few weeks old he started making crazy high jumps.
A month later i called the girl and asked her to send me jumper's pics
i was shocked to see that he was half of the size of his brother zoro which i was taking care of. He looked ill
i went nuts and i told her i want him back
She sent him back in a box. Though i gave her a huge cage.
He was filthy, scare, and didn't like to be touched. When i fed him he was eating like he hasn't eaten for a week.
Now jumper is recovering at home with his family, he is still thinner than the others and less social but few weeks ago he started jumping again!
