First time owner here of a Guinea Pig and I'm really worried about the left eye of my Guine Pig, Kiki.

Her left eye has a white, cloudy "stain (mark?)" on the back part:

Some observations:
• She is acting normal.

• Eats and drinks water normally.

• Her urine and feces are normal.

• She doesn't have any problems when breathing.

• She doesn't have any type of injuries.

• The eye doesn't secrete any type of secretions.

• The eye is open and doesn't have any crusts on it.

Only her left eye is like that. Her right one is normal.

Thanks for the attention and sorry if i made some mistakes. English is not my first language.

There are a couple of eye conditions that it might be, but it's hard to tell with the lighting on those pictures.

Look at the osseous metaplasia and osseous choristoma sections here: https://www.guinealynx.info/records/view ... ?p=162#162

There's nothing to be done for either condition, but fortunately, they don't cause any problems.

Are you thinking of the cloudiness, which could be a sign of an injury, cataracts, or something else?

Here is a crop of your pics so it is easier to see what you are talking about. The white part in the front of the bottom picture is the osseous metaplasia/choristoma that bpatters is referring to:

Yes, I'm talking about the cloudness that you can see on the back and in the lower part of her eye.

Sorry about the pics. I'll try to get a better one later.

I'm trying to make an appointment on a vet but both vets near my area that can handle exotic animals are closed due to Covid. All other vets i called said they can't help.

Thank you both for the answers.

If there is no redness and watering of the eye and no behavior change, it is not as likely to be an emergency. Weigh daily right now to help monitor health.

I'm checking her regularly and there is no signs of watering or redness.

And she is acting normally as well.

I'll keep an eye on her weight. Thank you a lot for answering.
